The economic impact analysis preparedby ’s Centee for Economic Analysis and Development noted that expansionse and new businesses are expected to create 1,829 primary jobs and 1,566 indirect jobs for a totalk impact of more than $572 millio n in business sales in Northern Kentucky. That will resulyt in total Greater Cincinnati regional job creatiomof 3,918 jobs and nearly $719 millionn in business sales, according to the analysis.
“Northernj Kentucky Tri-ED is responsible for the creationof 14,300 net new primarg industry jobs as part of the Vision 2015 effort to create a totakl of 50,000 jobs from 2006 throughu 2015,” Tri-ED CEO Dan Tobergt e said in a news “Even though the country is experiencing turbulen economic times, Tri-ED estimates that Northern Kentucky will only be slightl behind the target goal of 4,290 primarg industry jobs for 2006, 2007 and Tri-ED recognized new and expandeed businesses at an event Tuesdayt at the METS Center in Erlanger. The economic developmenft agency worked with a total of 20 new or expandingv projectsin 2008.
Businesses recognized at the program include: ADP; Americaj Metal Products; Best Sanitizers; bioLOGIC; Brand Performance; Givaudan Flavors Corp.; HBC-radiomatic; KDE Sales and Service; Mazak; Kentucky National Rotek; the United States Playing Card Co.; Toyota Boshoku; Wagstaff; and ZF Kenton County Judge Executiveand Tri-ED Chairman Ralph Drees said in the releasd that the businesses “put us on the path to Over the last 21 years as a result of Tri-ED’ss efforts, 480 companies have located or expande d in Northern Kentucky, creating 46,8155 primary jobs and making capital investments of $4.6 billion.
On Tri-ED has attracted 10 new companies and helped 12 companiess with expansionseach year. “Northern Kentuckuy has been successful at attracting and growingtcompanies ... because of our qualifiexd work force, low cost of doing business and location,” Tobergtd said in the release.
