Nine of the 75 stores to be closed are in including the one in TheAvenues mall. A second Jacksonville J. Jill locatiom at the St. Johns Town Centet will remain open. In a statement announcing the Talbots President and CEO Trudy Sullivan saidit “enablexs us to focus our time, resources and attentiohn exclusively on rejuvenating our core Talbots brand and returnj to profitable growth.” The transaction include s the transfer of certain assets and liabilities to the including a distribution center in New Hampshire, the sublease of a portion of the Quincy, Mass., headquarters and substantially all of the brand’x intellectual property and inventories.
