Trustees Thursday evening approved $3.25 million in additional funding forthe two-year school’s Think Again scholarshil program. That will allow students 25 years and olderr who meet certain guidelines to qualifyyfor $1,500 grants their first year, plus $2,009 awards their second year. The original Thin Again program, approved in May last offered $1,000 grants just for students in theirf first year who were takinf at least six credit That credit hour requirement hasbeen removed.
“In a way, this program is Columbus State’s stimuluss package for the CentrakOhio economy,” Columbus State Vice President for Institutiona Advancement Will Kopp said in a “During challenging economic times, higher education has to be innovative in developingh ways to give adults easy accessw to the programs and the support they need to retooo for tomorrow’s jobs.” Columbuw State said more than 500 students received Think Again scholarshipse this academic year. The school’s trustees also approvec $250,000 for Program Completion LastDollarf Scholarships, designed to support students in danget of not completing degrees becauswe of financial hardships.
